You can take an early morning train from Bucharest's main train station (Gara de Nord), see below trains as for the schedule valid at the time of this tip (otherwise check the schedule on the website below - Select Bucharest Nord and Brasov)

A1745 leaving 7:30 reaching Brasov 10:37 (best option)
R831 leaving 8:30 reaching Brasov 11:38
A12621 leaving 9:42 reaching Brasov 12:49 (that might be too late)

Return trains:

A12622 17:25 - 20:45 Bucharest
R526/532/540 19:37 - 22:41
R375 21:00 - 23:55 (best option as you can stay during the evening on the pedestrian street - but careful it's the last train)

Important! Don't take any P (other than A,R or IC) trains as they are very slow
