In 2007 Sibiu had the real privilege to be The European Capital of Culture

Visit the website: www.sibiu2007.ro, which gives a great overview (and more) about the city of Sibiu, including a perfect city map to guide you around.

In the above picture you can see the tower of the Evangelical Church and the row of medieval houses surrounding the Small Square. On the lower right corner you can see the iron Bridge of Lies and where the white sun umbrellas are there is my favourite place to have a coffee outside and the perfect italian dinner inside.

Another great page about your homecountry. We have now visited quite a few cities in Romania, but interesting enough we never really made it to Sibiu, which seems to be one of the tourist hot spots down there.

It is definitely with a reason that Sibiu is this year's European Cultural Capital. (And I love the "trick" with "Oh - I got salt in my eyes - can you kiss me?" ...LOL)

I am in Sibiu now..hehe. just stop by an internet caffe. I am going to the Contemporary Art Museum. Such a nice city..lovely!!
