Half timbered houses, rounded with walls, no entry for cars, clock towers, surrounded by forests, flowers and gardens, beer, enchanted visitors, an original official guide trough the city, a two-part city hall with a great visitable white tower, all sums up to a great destination in Germany - Rothenburg ob der Tauber. One of my favorite cities in the world because is not a metropolis, not a crowded destination for world tourists, but a relaxing destination, a romantic city by definition. A MUST visit in Germany. |

Ginnylynn Fri Aug 3, 2007 22:15 UTC Last year in March I was on a river boat cruise and enjoyed our full day in Rothenburg. Weather very cool and had the town all to ourselves (no crowds). also enjoyed seeing Regensburg and Bamberg. Had smoked beer! | christine.j Fri Jan 12, 2007 07:05 UTC I'm glad you liked Rothenburg, in spite of the crowds. | matcrazy1 Sun Jan 7, 2007 02:45 UTC Great architecture and feel of a little German town is well seen in your pictures and comments. |
