Im Weissen Rössl: Probably the best :) Romantikhotel Im Weissen Roessl Review

I did not stay here but this is a nice hotel, maybe the best, from what I saw.

Unique Qualities: The hotel has all amenities and then more. Welness area, with that pool and whirlpool near the lake, but probably another pool and sauna indoor. Four star hotel so if you want a pampered stay you can definitely choose this hotel.

This is one of the hotels than have amazing view of the lake, as it is "am see" meaning on the lake .. meaning on it's edge. Of course rooms are 20% more expensive on lakeside but worth the view.

Pension Alpenblick: My preffered place to stay in Sankt Wolfgang

First time in August 2007 I found it online, I liked it so much that I have returned exactly one year later. Pension Alpenblick is a family run guest house offering bed and breakfast.

Unique Qualities: It's no fancy hotel, it's not exactly downtown, but the view is great, the rooms are nice, the price is nice, the walk to downtown takes 10 minutes and it's great to do any time of day and not the least the owner - Ms. Cecilia Senjak - is a lively and welcoming host.

Comparison: less expensive than average

Directions: Coming from Bad Ischl, right before the "Welcome to Sankt Wolfgang" and a gas station on the left (if you passed it you're too far), take the narrow road up and to the right. That is one of the many streets named "Au" in that region of Austria.
