One of the stages of my trip to Italy in June 2006 was to circle around Lake Garda. We stopped in several places along the right lake shore, but by far I was impressed by Malcesine. And that is because it is very quiet, it not a swimming resort or something, but it has a nice marina from where you can take a boat on the lake, it has a nice castle, very well taken care of paved streets, and it has a cable car to take you up the mountain to the green area of the forest (didn't been there but I suppose it is nice - looked nice from the distance). |
