Downtown is a nice cozy place to visit, Fremont street is a blast at night. Do not go north of 'Main Street Station' or East of Las Vegas blvd. Many of you will go to Fremont street by bus. Be careful to head West, directly to the canopy. The folks who inhabit East Fremont are not the type of people you would want to meet. Even in the light of day the East Fremont area is a scary place to be. Avoid it at all cost.

Do not give money to panhandlers, including those that say they 'will mail you the money back'. These people are scam artists, and they won't stop at $10. If you give out your address to these people you WILL be hearing from them again. The local police do a good job of keeping out the riff-raf, but some slip through. Do not be fooled by the nice clothes, or sad story. Refer them to Metro (police dept.), Salvation Army, or the Rescue Mission.
