Joetsu is a smaller city located in the souther corner of Niigata Prefecture on the coast. I went here in route to Nagano on my way back from Niigata city in the north. The train station here, Naoetsu is a major stop for people travelling on to Nagano Prefecture. The area is known for its beaches and seafood. |
