Various: ONEHUNGA DRESS MART
  • Tip Rating:
  • Name of Shop: Various

The dressmart is a great place to shop for clothing (men's, women's, children's, sporting) if you are living in Auckland. The stores are all discount or seconds stores for the main stores found in all the malls. You can get out of season stuff really cheap!

What To Pay: Depends on what you are buying but all goods are heavily discounted

Various: ST LUKES - WESTFIELD SHOPPING CENTRE
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Name of Shop: Various

St Lukes is one of the many Westfield Shopping Centre's dotted around Auckland and the closest one to the city. It is about 10 minutes by car from my house and I often shop here. There are a variety of stores but also a food hall and cafe's, movie theatre complex, supermarkets.

What To Buy: Almost anything you could need can be found here!

    Various: NEWMARKET
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Name of Shop: Various

What To Buy: Newmarket is a little more up-market than other shopping areas in Auckland. You can find the usual shops at 277 Broadway but along Broadway there are little boutique stores as well. Smith and Caughey's also has a department store here as does The Warehouse and there is a Woolworths Supermarket.

    Smith and Caughey's
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]

  • Smith and Caughey's is an upmarket Department Store in two locations, Queen Street and Newmarket. I only ever shop here in their two sales that are held every year.

What To Buy: You can buy expensive foreign goods here, jewellery, cosmetics, perfumes, designer clothing and gifts.

What To Pay: Top price but the sales are good!

AUCKLAND FISH MARKET: AUCKLAND FISH MARKET
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Auckland Region - Auckland Fish Market
  • Auckland Fish Market
  • by kiwigal_1
  • Send Photo to a Friend
  • Name of Shop: AUCKLAND FISH MARKET

The Auckland Fish Market is perhaps one of the more interesting places to buy seafood in New Zealand. I guess it is somewhere a local is more likely to go than a tourist however the morning fish auction could be of interest to some visitors. The market opens at 5am for viewing with the auction starting at 6am Monday to Friday.

There is a Seafood Cookery School, gourmet foods store, and many other seafood products (besides the obvious!)

What To Buy: Fresh fish is the order of the day. There are a range of other services though including fresh sashimi and sushi made to order by Japanese master sushi chef Minoru Yamazaki.

What To Pay: This depends entirely on what you are buying!

Auckland does look like such a great city, a place worthy of my moving too and settling down to lay some famiiy foundations down.

Do you realise the Wildfire website you've included here is for Chicago not for NZ?
