"Peru Adventure 2006" Peru by kiwigal_1

Well... here I am... finally in Peru. It has been many years that I have wondered about this place and now I am exploring it for myself.
In the beginning it was my fascination for the Inca and mystical Machu Picchu that made me want to come here. Later it was because through my life´s wanderings a few Peruvians have crossed my path and I guess I fell in love with their culture. I should be honest... I fell in love with ALL things South America and I knew that my life would be incomplete without visiting here.

My journey to Peru began in Santiago, Chile where I had the good fortune to be working for awhile. My friend arrived from New Zealand and off we went. We decided to fly to Arica in northern Chile and cross the boarder into Tacna, Peru by taxi. From there we flew to Arequipa where I am writing these ramblings.

I am taking a tonne of photos so no doubt many of them will make their way to this page when I can spare a moment to upload them!
In the meantime I am going to enjoy PERU!
