Hamilton Airport

Hamilton has an airport located 14 kms south of the city centre. Budget International Airline, Freedom Air, has its base here. In addition domestic airlines: Air New Zealand and Origin Pacific fly from here to other NZ cities.

There are bars, cafes, shops and foreign exchange counters at the airport. There is long-term or short-term parking available. The long-term parking is much cheaper than Auckland! ($8 per day with a maximum charge of $48).

Directions: Drive south from Hamilton City on State Highway 1 towards Cambridge. Take the Tamahere turn off and head west. Follow Airport Road and the signs for approximately 4 kms.

The InterCity Coachlines service runs all around New Zealand. Hamilton, with its close proximity to Auckland has a number of services run through the town.
