Dieciocho holiday adventure

Dieciocho holiday is the big holiday in September in Chile which marks the independence of Chile from Spain. My friends came over from New Zealand to visit me and their visit happened to coincide with the Dieciocho celebrations. We spent some time in Santiago and then we rented a car and headed south. Our destination was only known to us on a map as Llico a small fishing town in the area around Lago Vichuquen. The reason we headed in this direction in the first place was because I had heard that the celebrations for Dieciocho were quite different in small towns and that one should experience this. A Chilean friend had recommended Llico to me and told me "mas o menos" how to get there!... THAT is a story I will tell further on this page.
