Galveston Island is about fithy miles south of Houston. It's a small town that really gets hot during the summer. There are lots of seafood restuarants on the island. I call this home, because I know lots of people here. One of the biggest history stories here is the 1900 storm. When Galveston was flattened by a hurricane. The storm nearly whiped out the whole town in just one night.
