"Cruising New Zealand" New Zealand by Goner

Really I thought cruising was for old folks - well, I'm getting there. The Holland America cruise I chose took me to nearly all the flavored towns on both the north and south islands of New Zealand. My only regret was not venturing into the center of these beautiful islands - okay, next time.

There is much diversity in these islands 1500 miles from nowhere. They have their own distinct charm and climate so be prepared to be see snowy mountains and palm trees.

Auckland Skyline

Auckland is the largest city and has been proclaimed one of the best places to live in the world. The skies are blue and the water is a beautiful shade of green.

Punting on the Avon

There is English and Scotish flavor in all parts of the country as the settlers brought their tea and scones with them.
