Milan was only a stop for us on our bus tour of Italy, but it was a pretty amazing two-hour visit. The Duomo is just as magnificent as all the photos I had seen. The postcard above shows duomo square, the duomo and to the left is the opening to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
Milan is business like and teeming with activity. It is the center of fashion and you will see both men and women dressed very stylish. I actually felt a little underdressed when we window shopped in their magnificent galleria.
As you can see in the postcard above, the people of Milan gather in the Piazza Duomo to enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful view of the Duomo.

You certainly seem to have made good use of your two hours in Milan! I spent several days there in 2008, rode all around on a bicycle and even managed to get tickets for two different opera performances -- not easy, as you have quite rightly pointed out.
I LOL about the restroom! More great pages on another Italian city. Insightful commentary and exceptional photos.

I always enjoy visiting Milan. The aura of that city is so elegant and the I really like fooling around to the center-area.
Wow. That is the best photo I have seen of the Piazza Duomo.
You saw quite a lot in 2 hours. The Duomo is gorgeous, hope to see it someday. The toilets are very different, yes what a surprise.
