Jerusalem Hotel Tips by Goner

Our first two nights were at the guest house of Christ Church. The rooms are sparse but inexpensive and the people were so kind to us.

The Guest House is a popular place to stay within the walls of Jerusalem's Old City. It is It is staffed by Jewish and Arab believers as well as international volunteers. All rooms have private facilities. There is a telephone in each bedroom. Room rates include an Israeli breakfast buffet.

Mid season cost for bed and breakfast in a twin room is US$ 92 and for a single room is US$ 51. Room rates include Israeli Breakfast buffet. These are 2003 prices.

This would be considered a four-star accomodation with an eight-story atrium in the center which can be viewed from the balconies and stairways. At night we could see illuminated Old Jerusalem from our window.

Unique Qualities: They have a lovely pool and the best pillows I ever slept on, I've been tempted to write them and ask where they get those PILLOWS! The rooms are spacious and the windows to the outside can be opened, which is unusual for a hotel in the US.

It has become one of the city’s landmarks due to its impressive tower. It was designed by Q.L. Harmon who built the Empire State Building in New York City. Across the street you will see the famous King David Hotel whose guests include US presidents and many dignitaries
