Luggage And Bags: To the left is very green WALES. It is green for a reason, it rains quite a bit there. Or at least when I was there. That was actually the house I stayed at. Very old...and very neat!!!
Please, if you backpack or camp, be wise and carry a pack. Don't lug around wheeled luggage. OTHERWISE, if you are not camping or backpacking, wheeled luggage is the best. I don't go anywhere without my Ricardo Beverly Hills 22' upright wheelie bag. It has a hanging clothes section, and a folded up clothing section. It also has numerous pockets, etc. that make travelling real easy! :) Plus it is purple, easy to spot on the claim once home.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: I live in my boots while travelling in Britain. That is if I spend time in Scotland or any part of England that I plan on hiking in the muck. My last trip in 2000, I just went to cities and villages, so I wore a black pair of Keds. Very comfy! So, bring boots and bring black shoes.
Clothes, well what you would wear in the States. You know, short sleeved shirts, long sleeved shirts, one sweater, khakis, jeans, thick socks, underwear, etc. However, instead of a coat I would bring a heavy raincoat (cause even when it isn't raining, there is a chance it will!). I would also bring a hat, and keep it in your coat pocket. Gloves, too! I wouldn't say a umbrella is super necessary, especially if you have a GOOD rain jacket. A small portable one is the best way to go if you need one.
Photo Equipment: I use a NIKON 6006, with a 28-105 zoom lense. I also bring a throwaway (one time use) camera with flash for impromptu stuff!
