I added a section on what to pack. Trust me on what I have written, especially if you go in October, or sometime in the winter!!

Above is me on the Golden Circle Tour (done through Icelandair). The Golden Circle Tour takes one full day and stops at Geysir (a great geyser and some smaller ones), Gulfoss (this amazing waterfall), and Thingvellir (home of the first Parliament). All are beautiful and well worth the money. On the way from Thingvellir, we saw the wild Icelandic horses. They are very very furry and very friendly. I fell in love with them. I usually dislike horses, but not this breed!!

In addition to the Golden Circle tour, try the Blue Lagoon and Reykjanes Peninsula tour. It stops at the famous Blue Lagoon (I can't wait till I upload those photos), Bessastađir (the home of the president), and the moonlike Reykjanes peninsula (which is eerie looking--gotta upload those pics, too).

We also spent a day in Reykjavík. Neat city...more to come.
