Pashaliman Bay

Orikum are ruins of an antient town in Albania located in the southwest of the country, south of Vlorë . The town was built in the antient times and its builders were alegedly fighting at antique Troy. Geographic location made Orikum an important Adriatic port. Already in 3rd century BC it was used by Romans fighting against Illyrian tribes, later against Macedonians. Ruins of ancient theater, town walls, streets and remains of Byzantine church from 13th century can be still seen here. Close to the ruins, on the coast, there is Orikum Village built much later. The village with 3000 inhabitants has got beautiful beaches. In combination with the sights the place is an attractive tourist destination.
