What is The United States Of Europe..EU

In order to get more people to see my pages
and direct people from icq, I needed to paste
the bul*sh*t stuff below. I can't be bothered to rate
10 people a day just to get ratings, I mean I just want an
honest opinion and not the system that seems
to exist here at VT. Don't get me wrong, VT is a great site
but I don't have the patience to having to rate other people
just to get them to rate my page. Well enjoy what you see.

In response to a discussion I saw on VT.....(I wrote this on VT 4 yrs ago)
Things have improved but I will leave the text as a reminder how I felt then.

I've lived in Eastern Europe for more than 10 years
and find that the people working at railway information
windows will give you all the
disinformation and bad attitude one could get.
This tends to be the rule and not the exception.
They recieve a pitance of a salary and really don't enjoy
answering questions, they see their lives as miserable and the
questions they get asked vary very little. That's the downside,
but usually this is compensated by cheap train travel in these countries.
Don't blame this on communism as I've traveled round many
countries when they were communist and found people going
out of their way to help. It's just a big city overun by quite well
too do tourists and very little interest in the locals.
I've lived in Budapest for 5 years and still get bad attitude and
abuse when I buy my month pass from BKV (Budapest City Transport)
.It goes with the territory, take the rough with the smooth.
The day these people in information booths in main line train
stations are service minded, grinning like Cheshire cats and
almost kissing your arse, is the the day you will be giving bad
attitude and cursing because of the price.
In some main line Russian stations they have embraced
capitalism and abandoned communism by charging for
questions! I used to order tickets over the phone in Russia
(1991), they were delivered to my flat in St.Petersburg and a
4 day and night trip to (Alma-Alta)Kazakstan, cost me less
than $20 in Ruble equivelant.
I had a 2 birth sleeper with sink and toilet.
The resteraunt car provided 3 meals a day and I was sad
to leave the train. So please unless you have travelled
in these countries under communism, don't b.... so much.

Go placidly amid the noise & haste & remember
what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly & clearly; and listen to others ,
even the dull & ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain & bitter;
for always there will be greater & lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in you own career, however humble:
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity & disenchantment
it is perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of the youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less that the trees & the stars;
you have a right to be here. And whether or not is is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors & aspirations in the noisy confusion
of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery & broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world. Be careful.
Strive to be happy.

Found in Old St. Paul's Church, Baltimore, dated 1692.

Me likes your Europe page. The name for a female "sankie pankie" is sankiette. The reason why I don't talk about them is that they're not as common as sankies.
