"nobody ever told me about Wat Suthat" Bangkok by alza

Three years after my visit to Bangkok, I finally find out it was Wat Suthat I saw...
I'm glad it was that temple, rather than the Grand Palace I'd asked for. At first I was a bit upset at the tuk tuk driver for telling me Wat Suthat WAS the Grand Palace. But now, honestly, thanks man! I never met anyone since, who'd gone to Wat Suthat and wrote about it.

I did manage to visit the Grand Palace, but I think that I might well have enjoyed a visit to Wat Suthat more.
Isnt Bangkok amazing...I think so...and its a place I want to return to..funny co-incidence maybe but I have a taxi story that's kind of similar to yours...but I made him stop as he was taking us onto a freeway.I'll never know where he was taking us!
oh hoot - if that is the grand palace why is it full of buddhas! (and cat houses have another meaning in english - whore houses)
Good decent tip. Bangkok pages need more like this. Marvellous stuff. Cheers, Ian
just a timely reminder that I've forgotten when i last visited ;-(((
That's the one by the Giant Swing - looks lovely inside!
