<p align=full>I spent a week in Frederick, Maryland for business. Then we went to visit my husband's son and his wife, who live in Hampton. We also visited friends in Newport News and Washington, DC.
As you can see by the map, it is very easy to go from one state to the next in a very short period of time (relative to the states in the Western U.S.). Decided to take the Chesapeake Bay Bridge route up the Eastern Shore of Virginia and through Maryland on the way back to DC, instead of getting in the rat race of Interstate 95. It was quite interesting--my only regret was that we did not have time to stop at a marina on Cheasapeake Bay (next to Annapolis) where they have the best soft-shell crab!</p>

I will admit, even though the weather was awful and traffic stunk. I did enjoy the beautiful scenery and people!!

That's Norfolk International Terminal, not Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
