Don't know if you'd exactly call this a danger, but you may not want to be in the area of rue St. Denis after dark. It's like St. Pauli in Hamburg. I love the area in the daytime. It reminded me of the East Village in New York. This is the arch near the metro entrance, at the end of rue St. Denis.
