Welcome to Kingston, the largest city of the 1000 islands. I grew up a couple of hours east of here so we visited every so often. It's a city with a rich military history and natural geological attractions. The 1000 Islands are easily accessed from Kingston via numerous boats and cruises. The city makes for an excellent day trip or as a base for exploring the surrounding regions. This is also the hometown of both Bryan Adams and the Tragically Hip. Two great Canadian musical talents. I don't have any pictures of this area as the ones my family took are with my Dad. Some day I might dig through his basement to find them, but until that time, I've given you a bit of information about this city. |
