Joker This place is one of Toronto's most popular nightclubs. We like Saturday nights in the Joker's Den, 2nd floor, when it's Retro 80's night. The radio station Mix 99.9 broadcasts the retro 80's show from here that night. Check out the Go Go dancers as well! It's open Thurs - Sat from 10pm to 2am, $5 cover Thursday, free for ladies and students before 11pm. Friday and Saturday the cover charge is $10.

Nightlife Spot: Nightclubs and bars
This is a pub located in the Beaches area of Toronto. It's fantastic! One of my co-workers is a part-owner of the place and everyone from work just loves it there. They've got the biggest collection of single malt whiskeys in the area. Food is available and it is as tasty as you'll find anyway. Be sure to check out all the photos on the walls. Many were taken by Terry Culbert (my co-worker) and they focus on the British Isles and pubs and distilleries of that part of the world. I was delighted to see pics of places I had been in Scotland.

Nightlife Spot: ************
There's lots of places in Toronto offering live music. Get out and discover some of the local talent, who knows, one day they might be famous! The group pictured is the Twisters. Lead singer is a friend who works at CFTO TV as an anchor/reporter. They're a lot of fun to listen to and play great standards from the 60's and such. Two of the people pictured aren't in the band, they're just nutty friends who wanted to join in, lol! Check their website for info on where and when they'll be performing.

The Unicorn Great Irish type pub owned by the Irish Rovers. They serve typical Irish and UK pub grub which you can enjoy in the pub or on the patio. Live music during the week and Sunday is the open jam night. The pic is from mine & my friend's birthday party June 2001 (she has vowed never to do tequila again) ;)

Nightlife Spot: The Docks
This place is huge! Located right on the waterfront and has tons of things to keep you entertained. For example, there's a driving range, a mini putt, paint ball, beach volleyball, rock climbing, pool tables, a flying trapeze and gladiator jousting. There's even a drive-in movie theatre at the end of the driving range. If you've got a boat you can dock right alongside this place. It's great for sunny days as there is a huge outdoor patio where you can sit and enjoy food and drinks along with all the entertainment. And at night the DJ's start spinning tunes and live music is here sometimes. There's always something going on here! Loads of concerts and events are also held here so check the website to see what's on.

The Esplanade Bier Markt Awesome restaurant/bar serving up to 150 different beers from 24 countries. This is a Belgian style restaurant so Belgian type food. I had some wonderful mussels here, there's about 6 different versions. The cheese fondue is excellent as is the chocolate fondue.
