Welcome to London, my favourite city in the world. This is my Mum's hometown so I visit relatives here as much as I can. There is so much to see and do in London, you just cannot be bored here. I could go back again and again (and I do) and still have so much to see. I'm very lucky in that I have family who live here and they let me stay with them occasionally, they even feed me :-) That really helps to cut costs in a fairly expensive city. I have stayed in a couple of hotels in the city though, so I could be within walking distance of the attractions. But you can enjoy a great holiday here if you budget, watch where you eat and take advantage of the travel passes that are available. Or walk, it's free!!
Be sure to check out the travelogues of VT get-togethers at Shakespeare's Head on Carnaby St!! |

I am staying at the Darlington Hotel that you reviewed. I saw the pix of your room and it did not look impressive. I realize it is a single. I booked a suite and wonder if you had been able to see these and comment on them. Thanks |
