    • Ladies watch out for men with no respect for women. Though most muslim men are very respectful, there are a few who will try to take advantage of western women. One tour mate was grabbed twice in this city, both times I was with her, the 2nd time her husband and the rest of our group was there. Best thing is to react immediately and draw attention to the person. If a policeman is nearby, shout for them, it's the only way to stop this disgraceful behaviour.

    • Beware the schoolchildren! They will come up to you everywhere asking you questions until you have quite lost your patience. You might even find yourself a tourist attraction when they take pictures of you! This happened quite a lot at the tourist sites like the pyramids and the mosques. This group of children were at the Egyptian Museum and eventually had to be chased away by the guards.

     Great tips! Egyptian Museum and visit to interior of the pyramide is a must for me now. I wonder whether I can bring and use a tripod there.
