What can I say about Cairo? It's a seething mass of humanity, the home of most of Egypt's population and a loud, crazy, incredible place. The traffic is a nightmare, the sights are legendary and the people are warm and welcoming. There is so much to see and do and I didn't even scratch the surface of what is available. From the first glimpse out the bus window on the ride from the airport, to the last look from the plane, it's a fascinating city that manages to work its way under your skin till you suddenly find yourself not wanting to leave. |

hunterV Sat Oct 11, 2008 15:14 UTC Hi, Laura! So much exciting experience! Thanks for the nice page! | matcrazy1 Sat Dec 30, 2006 20:34 UTC Great tips! Egyptian Museum and visit to interior of the pyramide is a must for me now. I wonder whether I can bring and use a tripod there. | mtn_bear Mon May 15, 2006 01:51 UTC too cute! | Escadora7 Tue Nov 22, 2005 22:57 UTC Nice Cairo tips! Interesting - I did not know the Sphinx' arabic name. It's strange, since I've always thought of it as female, and it really is "Father of Terror"! :-) Best wishes, Eve & Ash |
