US 95, 25 miles south of Tonopah and 182 miles northwest of Las Vegas.

Truckers and cars just pass through without realizing the historic nature of Goldfield. Stop and walk through the Courthouse with displays, poems, old typewriters and desks. Look on the walls at old pictures of mining life and the town's heyday.

He was a state representative at the time of his death.
