Sharrie's Chengdu Feast

by Sharrie - last update: Mar 17, 2004

For someone who loves gorgeous & authentic food & I'm one such person, CHENGDU is the ultimate! To every Chinese, the Sichuan cuisine is one of the very best if not the best of all Chinese cuisines. Even though I'm biased towards Cantonese cuisine, I still found my trip here to be so rewarding that I know I'll be back for more! A warning to most though, spicy is the keyword here & the stranger the better ;-)

Chengdu is also the Chinese gateway to Tibet. Here, there are at least 2 flights daily to Lhasa. Other attractions around Chengdu include Leshan Da Fuo (Grand Buddha), Jiu Zhai Gou & Huang Long (2 gorgeous national parks with incredibly beautiful lakes). With all there's to see I'm sure I'll be back again soon!

Its terrible to what happened here in such peaceful place. My sincere condolences to the victims, their families and friends.
