Once capital of Japan, KYOTO has a charm of its own. A quaint and small city it is easily accessible by bullet train (shinkansen) from Tokyo (the present-day capital of Japan). Historically, Kyoto is the seat of power for the imperial family and rulers. Consequently, many of the most beautiful architecture of Japan are located around this city. To truly experience Kyoto is to go with an open mind and absorb all it has to offer while you are there; the Zen spirit found in its many garden & temples and the simplistic form of those temples. With many fond memories of Kyoto I pray to be able to visit again! Web Resources Area Code: 75 Yellow Pages: Itp.ne.jp Newspaper: Kyoto Shimbun |
