NAGOYA is a delightful mix of old & new. Even the name Nagoya in Kanji is beautiful (imho of course). Upon arrival in Nagoya via the bullet train from Hiroshima, I was greeted with a futuristic JR (Japan Rail) station. Lots of activities both inside & outside the station. The people of Nagoya are also very fashionable & chic. This is a city of movement & flow; one can feel it as soon as one enters the city. A forward looking city with the charm of the old & a thrust towards the future. Somehow, I found this unique combination constantly in many Japanese cities; the old & the new blended effortlessly & combined to portrayed a beautiful unified whole. That may be why I'm constantly attracted to Japan. It's so rare to find 2 opposing forces so beautifully merged & emerged in unison!
