Eat, drink, gamble, shop & be merry - this is the most amazing city in the whole of United States of America! (That's my personal opinion of course). Nowhere in the world has such a pulsating and lively night entertainment. Created out of a barren desert,
LAS VEGAS is where the Americans prove to be the most creative (along with the more illusive Hollywood)!
I've fallen in love with Vegas - have since made annual trips to this exciting but not costly city (provided you don't sit at the tables for days & nites or if you're so tempted; be v. skillful - professionals never claimed to be lucky, ha ha...).
For those of us who can stay away from the tables and slot machines, Vegas is a very fun city to explore: There are many national parks to visit nearby during the day (most are under my Nevada, Arizona & Utah pages; please feel free to bookmark them if you are interested to find out more...), or you can walk around the many hotels and resorts (gigantic by any standard; they average 5000 rooms per hotel!) & pose for photos. Stock up on souvenirs; so many striking & individually designed sweatshirts, key chains, magnets, playing cards, etc... you name it they have it; naturally with the Vegas or hotels' logos on them. Alternatively, you may also go to those Factory Outlets & stock up on branded items at a discount.
But the most unique quality about Vegas is its LIGHTS - so bright & never-ending. Just walk on the famous STRIP & you'll meet many people from all over the world having a fun time snapping photos away or watching the amazing sidewalk shows put up by individual resorts. The atmosphere is just great! Everyone is having the greatest time of their life!!!
The best entertainment I've ever had was in Vegas. Two shows left a lasting impression: The SIEGFRIED & ROY show at THE MIRAGE & 'O' from BELLAGIO. I'm impressed; completely mesmerised by their performances! Never had I seen such professionalism and perfectly executed acts of magic. Not even David Copperfield's! You have to see it for yourself!!!
Accommodations vary in prices depending on the seasons & how early you book online. During promotional periods, some deluxe hotels can be reserved for as low as US$50!
