KEFLAVIK is where all international flights landed & took off in Iceland. This is our intro to the country. We arrived early (& I mean really early, 6 am or so) & since it's summer, it's bright & shiny in Iceland. In fact, as we found out later, there are almost no "nights" in the Summer.

The Blue Lagoon (which is on the same route to the airport) is one of the most famous attractions in Iceland. It is known for its curing & relaxing properties. For my own purposes, I've included all the attractions on the Golden Circle Route in this page, namely the Blue Lagoon, Gullfoss, Geysir, Kerio & Pingvellir. Since these are a must for most first time visitor & Keflavik is the intro to Iceland, I feel they rightly belong together.

Here's also where I saw the largest & most beautiful rainbow of my entire life! Spanning across the entire sky, it's one colorful semi-circle - just awesome & incredible!
