TOKYO is a city I've been to innumerable times... since I was 6 years old.
Yet, it's a city that I never get tired of & always able to find new things to impress & enchant.
To me, Tokyo has a life-force so alluring that I'll always be attracted to return.
It's one of the very few cities where I could say I've left my heart in.
& now, with my Japanese friends living here, this will be a page to serenade my love for this city as well as cherished friendships I've been so lucky to be bestowed on.

Initially, this will be about my 4-days adventure to the outlying areas of Tokyo rather than the core of Tokyo.
Yet, this is one of my most memorable trip of this megacity.
Not because I did get to see lots.
But because I enjoyed each moment to the fullest & I've never ever felt so peaceful here.
Tokyo had always been a city of activities & the stirring of the senses.
Yet, on this 4-day short Easter trip, incredibly, I finally realised the simple truth...
... it doesn't take much to be happy :-)

Friends...
Fresh air of Spring...
Beautiful cherry blossoms...
Stillness of the innerheart...
Silence of the mind...

I'm the only person who can makes me happy!

Your Sakura picture against the blue sky is beautiful. The color is not too strong and perfect You chose a good angle to take the picture.

I totally understand your love for Tokyo. My first ever trip overseas was to Tokyo where I spent a month, I stayed in azabujuban near ropongi. The place is infectious and Tokyo will always be my first love, New york booooo, Tokyo is, Majide sugae tokyo!!!

Ah the hanami, a wonderful way to spend an evening with friends. Nothing wild? A fond memory was the taste of a wild strawberry on the slope of Fuji-san at about the 3rd station. Very wild below the 5th station.

Visiting a zoo is a almost forgotten activity for grown-ups. Ueno will be the must visit place when I go to Tokyo next time. BTW, have you been to the Night Safari in Singapore? It is also a great zoo to visit
