Sharrie's Istanbul Bayram

ISTANBUL!

What it was Then:
* Capital of Turkey until 1922.
* Byzantium (Greek city state): 657 BC - 330 AD.
* Constantinople (Capital of Eastern Roman/Byzantine Empire): 330 - 1453.
* Istanbul (Capital of Ottoman Turkish Empire): 1453 - 1922.

What it is Now:
Chic, hype & ultra-modern - a city which tantalizes your senses ... exotic spices, hypnotic belle-dancing & spectacular mosques!
A Muslim city by religion yet with a touch of European sensibility. I should know, afterall, I live in the country with the largest Muslim population in the world! This is one city unlike any Muslim city in the world!!!
Unique & beautiful! Istanbul is a Turkish delight :-)))

I'll definitely be back for more!

 Yes, some has fled during the silly credit crunch crisis. But most of it are rented cars left in the airport parking. hey, i heard istanbul is a nice place : )).
