Full of fine food, frogs legs and cliches aplenty - what can one say but ou la, ou la la? No, just kidding - I loved France! |
Frontignan - Languedoc An often-missed small town not far north of Sete, on the Gulf du Lion, Frontignan had the greatest summer beach gatherings, free entertainment and sexiest young studs on the planet! (well, that's how it seemed at the time...)
Did I mention the wild grapes, and the specialty wine of the area? Muscat d'Frontignan - strong and sweet, like the dark-eyed inhabitants of Languedoc - just a little uninhibited.
Here I found some of the friendliest people in France, made new friends and turned a day's stay into a week or beach revels and mediterranean pleasures.
Not to mention the local sport - there is something called taureau piscine - which as far as I could make out by questioning the locals with my very bad French, meant something like 'bull swimming pool'. No, I still don't understand.
To be recommended - but for the laid back only! |

biggeorge Tue Mar 30, 2004 13:33 UTC Taureau Piscine is exactly what it says - bull swimming pool , you get some young bulls ,a large shallow swimming pool or arena full of foam and get people to run around in it. |
