A friend of mine says Vancouver is like a dumb blonde: beautiful, but lacking in substance. While I agree that, compared to Canada's other cities, you've got to dig to find the cultural and social gems hidden beneath Vancouver's often pretentious beauty, the gems are nonetheless there. |
