Luggage And Bags: A light bag to carry your camera, maps/guide, a light coat for the sunset/night time, etc.)
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Confortable walking shoes (Sydney is a nice city to walk by), light clothes (depending on season, of course), maybe an umbrella (just in case).
Toiletries & Medical Supplies: Just your teeth paste and brush, and some sunscreen in a sunny day if you're wearing a T-shirt :)
Photo Equipment: Any you have is Ok, but check for the film: in my country is less than half the price. If you buy it at home for less than AUD 7 (24 exp. ISO 100) , just bring 3-4 with you :) Update: unless you have a digital camera, then bring some sort of backup media!
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: In summer, have your swim suit with you, there's plenty of nice beaches around Sydney!
Miscellaneous: You can buy anything on your way, and not expensive at all (well, maybe except some import products). You may also bring somebody to share your café or meal stops/talks, or you may find him/her around, anyway ;)
