If visiting the area, here's some simple directions of Metropolitan Miami to help you get oriented.
To the east of Miami is the island of Miami Beach, which can be accessed by several bridges crossing the scenic Biscayne Bay.
Major north-south traffic routes include Interstate 95 (I-95), the Florida Turnpike and State Road 826.
U.S. Highway 1 (US-1) also provides general north-south access, extending south into Monroe County.
Major east-west arteries include S.R. 826 (after a sharp 90 degree turn in the Miami Lakes area), I-395, I-195 and S.R. 112. Both S.R. 112 and I-395 provide easy access to the Miami International Airport.</b>
