I'm not that keen on big cities for long periods of time, a day or two is enough! I can't give you very specific information on stuff like accommodation, but what is on here is from my own (be they years ago or recent) experiences.

London has a population of 7,651,634 and is arguably the most beautiful cosmopolitan city in the world. It is the world financial capital and in all respects Europe's largest city. London is huge, with an estimated area of 650 sq. miles - twice the size of New York City! Compared to its American and Asian counterparts London is relatively low rise. London has a large ethnic population, with people of many races living together. The 2001 census of the UK is being produced in 78 different languages! London is known as the link between the eastern and western worlds.
