AARGH! AGAIN the category I want is not here! I am in Sufers' Paradise in the state of QUEENSLAND NOT Brisbane! No section for Queensland as yet, O well. Surfers is a bit like Waikiki, Honolulu Hawaii in that it is a bit of the high-rise meets beach sort of set-up. Yes, quite touristy but I personally find the people as a rule quite friendly. And quite a bit to do, well depending on what you like. You have your shopping, the beach if the weather's right, theme parks and adrenaline rides oh and natural attractions. This is a short holiday (less than a week) so it's been quite crammed and squishy but heaps of fun! It's heading into the Queensland winter but if you're from a country where it's been colder this is quite a lovely time to go, probably too cold for beach swimming but warm sunny weather nevertheless if you've come from somewhere rainy and colder! (like New Zealand at the moment!) and less crowded than in Summer. October November is quite a rainy time to go here, I'd avoid that time of year if you can but the rest of the year it is sunny quite often.
