Travel & Accomopdations Before you leave the Airport in Rome or any place in Italy make sure you have Euros & know exactly where you are going. If you have a back pack, don't have anything loose hanging from it!!! Convents & Pensioni are your best bet. Make arrangement before you leave your home country. Coloseum & Vatican areas are a choice. Trains run to Napoli, Isle of Capri, Assissi, Venice, all the time. Be careful in trains not to leave your stuff unattended. |
| | Eateries in Rome Some of the best places to eat can be found on side streets & cellars. We came upon this Great Place just a block away from our Pensioni. the food was well cooked and the service was one of the best we've ever seen in Europe. Evening dinner doesn't start until around 8:00pm so don't be in a rush for an early meal. When you find you favorite place, sit & relax with some wine & expect to savor the wine & dine for a least 2 hrs. Try the home made spagetti which is poured into a cheese block & spice is then added. The hot spagetti melts the cheese from around the sides of the block & it saturates the spagetti making it into something that you have never tasted before. Italian bread on the side & a meal fit for a king. |
