The beach on Foe'ata Island, Vava'u - Tonga

Between July 3 and July 14 I travelled through the three main island groups in this pretty much untouched Pacific Island Kingdom.
I began my short vacation in Nuku'alofa, the much maligned capital, and proceeded north through Ha'apai and Vava'u.
The picture above is of my favourite spot on the whole trip, the magic little island of Foe'ata. This beach is my idea of paradise!

Pros and Cons

Pros:Some glorious deserted beaches, well off the beaten trail!
Cons:It's expensive.
In a nutshell:A great insight into the Pacific.

Services was great. Free breakfast was delicious and accomodation was exellent. I recommend this lodge to anyone who travel to Vava'u.

Lots of good tips for these islands way out there. Great job! One new note however is the collapse of Royal Tongan Air. Air Peau took over local, but that might change in the near future too as they're getting into trouble.
