What would Uncle Ho think about this establishment I wonder. I like the bookshelves around the ground floor and the big soft seats. This place had style and substance! The food was good too!

This is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant with great food. In the picture you can see the recommended dish, which is called Bo Tung Xeo! It is deliciously marinated tender beef steak pieces (plenty of garlic), which you barbecue yourself at your table. The waiter seemed worried about my cooking skills and intervened, but it was all part of the fun. The service is good here and the staff speak English. The locals tend to fill this place up, which is a good sign. You can park your motorbike in the restaurant!!

Favorite Dish: The restaurant is named after its most famed dish - BBQ beef. It's delicious and fun.

This small cafe is on De Tham Street, right in the bustling and interesting heart of the Pham Ngu Lao backpacker area. The cafe has the obligatory travel agent attached - a norm in this area. However, the cafe is the real highlight. The menu is full of food packed with vegetables and the restaurant appears to pride itself on the hygenic and fresh food. In dire need of iron, I chowed down on a delicious spinach soup one evening while waiting for my "open-tour" bus to Mui Ne. Prices are good and the food is just what every traveller needs - tasty and healthy!

Favorite Dish: I can recommend the spinach and pork soup.
