  • Hard to imagine this is indoors. It is designed too look and feel like an out door plaza but it is the inside of the Venetian Hotel. We walked the strip and went in to all the major hotels just to see what each one was like.

  • At the Tropicana we got free tickets for a museum there about gambling. We went in and saw big cases full of poker chips. At first it was not very interesting then we found some monitors playing videos from Las Vegas history. One Video was about the disaster that happened when a hotel was on fire. Another was about bomb threats. There was even a video about the old time gangsters who helped Las Vegas become the city it is today. That portion of the museum was quite interesting.

  • At the Excalibur we went to a dinner show called the 'Tournament of Kings'. We could not take pictures during the show so I took this one out front instead. The show included dinner but no silverware. The point is to eat like the citizens of the castle ate many years ago. It is all part of the fun to get you in the spirit of things. Yell and cheer for your champion and the show will be more fun. It was a great show with pyrotechnics, horses, jousting, dancing maidens, a jester, a wizzard, and much more. It cost us $39 each and that included the meal.
Reserve your show tickets for any show you want to see as early as you can. One show we wanted to see was sold out. At the information desk of our hotel we got a listing of all the free shows to watch. That was helpful as well.

  • It does not cost any thing to take her photo while you are in Las Vegas. There are many things to do for free. We watched the fountains in front of the Bellagio. We went to watch the ships at Treasure Island in the afternoon. We saw the lions at the MGM Grand. There was a great bird show at the Tropicana with parrots and an Andean condor. The information desk of our hotel gave us a listing of the free shows and when they each started. We used that to plan our day. We went up and down the strip from one show to the next. Between shows we gambled and saw the sights.

  • We saw a show in the afternoon at the Flamingo. It was called 'Bottoms Up'. We chose it for a few reasons. We had a coupon to see the show for only $7 and that included a free drink. The show was in the afternoon so we could see it and a dinner show later. We also felt that seeing a show with dancing showgirls and music was a Las Vegas tradition. This show we saw was very funny. The music was a little out of date but it is the longest running show in Vegas. The beautiful girl dancers in costume were amazing. If you are offended to see topless dancers don't go to this show. I could not take photos during the show so I took a picture of the showgirls signing autographs after it was over.
