    Getting TO/AROUND: One means of transportation in Kansas City area is by hot air balloon. My wife and I arranged to make a flight at dawn over the Olathe area of Kansas City in July 1999. It was a lot of fun.

    Getting TO/AROUND: Kansas City is on several major highways. KCI is a large airport with international flights. (Photo is from Swope Park Zoo in KC,MO)
    KC metro area is actually many cities that are growing and overlapping one another. There are still pockets of undeveloped agriculture surrounded by the growing city. Because it is so spread out you will need an automobile.

     Hey brdwtcher.... If you are a "Kansas Citian" and you don't know where this fountain is, I would say you aren't exactly a Kansas Citian. It is on the Country Club Plaza. For those reading this, GO TO MIDTOWN and not to these awful CHAIN restaurants!    		DPando Wed May 17, 2006 14:40 UTC

     They have bulldozed the Welcom Center in Olathe, and are now building a "Hooters" in it's place. You still may be able to get tourist info there once it opens though.
