Des Moines is a city we have driven past going from Kansas to Minnesota on Interstate 35 many times. On our last trip we decided to stop in Des Moines for a while and I am glad we did. The capital city of Iowa has a lot to offer. One thing I do suggest is going for a visit during the Summer because some of the best things in Des Moines are closed in Winter. Photo is of the state capital building. Even on a cloudy day that 23 karat golden dome shines brightly. |
