Old Town Trolly / Tours: Try not to confuse Old Town...

Getting TO/AROUND: Try not to confuse Old Town Trolley Tours with the San Diego Trolley. It costs a bit more to ride but the driver gives you a narrated tour of the things you'll see.

Getting TO/AROUND: San Diego Trolley is great for going down town. The cost of the trolly ride is less than the fee for parking and the expense of the gasoline. We got a ticket that was good for 4 days for $12. That is $3 a day to ride any place you want to go. (I did see some young people getting on without getting a ticket but I am just to honest to do that.)
Look at the picture of my wife waiting for the trolley. The trolleys are all painted red. They are painted red but called 'blue' line and 'orange' line. In the window of the front red painted car will be a sign that says if it is a blue or orange trolley. There are trolley stops a short walk from many of the major attractions in San Diego.

Getting TO/AROUND: Near the Maritime museum is this booth for tickets on the ferry. It only costs a couple of bucks for a ferry ride and it is a great way to see the Bay.

Getting TO/AROUND: These scenic drive signs will take you on a route to most of the sights to see around San Diego. Just to drive the route will take a good 3 hours depending on the traffic. Don't bother with it! If you go and see most of the major sights you'll be on the 'scenic drive' a good portion of the time any way. Don't make any special plans to drive the scenic route. The drive itself is not very scenic at all. Only the places it will lead you to are. The good thing about the scenic route signs are that when you are going some place and see one of these signs it is a good indication you are getting close to some point of interest.

Old Town my favorite part of the city. My son lives across the street from Balboa Park!

Great SD pages. You covered a lot of what I have done there in the past and what I am going to see again this year (2006). Mind you with TWO kids I think we'll be busy a lot. Thanks for sharing.
