I stayed in Colombo when I first arrived in Sri Lanka. It became some thing like a home base for my other travels in Sri Lanka and I returned there before leaving. It is a big city. Colombo District has about 2,000,000 people. The traffic in the city is terrible. Driving through the city for the first time I stared out the windows in awe of the traffic and the sights I was seeing for the first time. There are many good and bad things about Colombo. |
