It's Been Too Long!

Welcome to my Dallas page,

Sorry I haven't but one tip for you.

As a child passing through Dallas several times on our way from California to the East Coast, only two things about Dallas, stand out in my memory. The syrup on my pancakes had an awful, bitter taste and the cheese sprinkled on my spaghetti smelled like dirty feet.

Since then, I learned that the syrup was real maple, not the fake stuff I was used to, which I still prefer and the cheese was parmesan which I hadn't experienced before and am familiar with and like now.

No. That wasn't the tip. I became a Tip Group Editor for Dallas and have seen or read most of the tips VT'ers have written about Dallas.

The job of a Tip Group Editor is to combine all "like" tips, in each category, thus creating a new sub-category that serves well in cross-indexing.

You can imagine that this might be difficult to do for a person who hasn't ever known more than a couple of restaurant facts about the city. I wouldn't say it was difficult as it was challenging. There was much to research to categorize everything correctly and in the process, I learned a great deal. (If you find that I have made a mistake, please write and let me know.)
